The Cleveland Plastic Surgery Institute is fully licensed as an Ambulatory Surgery Facility by the Ohio Department of Health as of January 2020 (Facility ID# 1262AS). In addition, CPSI was also awarded accreditation by HFAP (Healthcare Facility Accreditation Program), the nation’s original independent, accreditation program recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This prestigious accreditation confirms that CPSI is providing high quality care as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation. This higher level of accreditation recognizes the facilities commitment to providing outstanding care to patients.
Towards the goal of providing excellence in surgical care, CPSI only uses anesthesiologists to oversee all patients who require general anesthesia. Our anesthesiologists are medical doctors who hold privileges at area hospitals. They are capable of treating sick patients under emergent conditions, so the healthy patients treated at CPSI can rest assured that they are in safe hands. Our anesthesiologists are often assisted by CRNAs (certified registered nurse anesthetists), but unlike other practices, the CRNAs are always supported by anesthesiologists.
