Eyelid Surgery

Rhinoplasty, also known as nose reshaping or nose surgery, is one of our most popular cosmetic surgery procedures. Brow (Forehead) Lift
The loss of skin elasticity and tautness as we get older frequently leads to sagging and drooping of the skin above our eyes. This can create hooding and "frown lines"over the brow, giving the appearance of anger, exhaustion, or sadness. A brow lift, or forehead lift, can turn back the hands of time and reduce forehead lines, as well as lift sagging eyebrows and tighten the skin. The procedure begins with a small incision hidden in the scalp or camouflaged in the hairline. Dr. Leedy will lift and redrape the skin of the forehead, creating a tighter, smoother appearance and causing the muscles that form "frown lines" to weaken. The aesthetic results of a brow lift should last for ten years or more.
Patients receiving a brow lift from our plastic surgeon are often able to return to normal daily routines in about seven to ten days. Brow lift can be performed on an outpatient basis from our facial plastic surgeon in Cleveland.
Endoscopic Brow Lift
Patients may also consider an endoscopic brow lift. This advanced procedure involves smaller incisions and reduced scarring and recovery time. With endoscopic brow lift, Dr. Leedy can perform the procedure utilizing three to five incisions that are about an inch long, adjusting the forehead muscles and skin to give patients a more vibrant, youthful appearance. Endoscopic brow lift is less invasive than traditional brow lift, and is frequently ideal for individuals who require more subtle aesthetic forehead correction.

Lip Enhancement
As the natural effects of age and sun damage take their toll, the mouth tends to lose its natural shape. The skin between the upper lip and the nose begins to droop, wrinkles develop, and there is a downward turn at the edges of the mouth, making the lower teeth show whenever the mouth is parted. There are many cosmetic procedures available which can reverse these effects and help individuals who would like to restore the youthful appearance of their mouths. Among them:
Lip lift - helps create a fuller smile by raising the upper lip and revealing more of the upper teeth. The colored area of the lip, known as the lip vermillion, is also increased to enhance the size of the mouth. A small incision is made below the nose for this procedure; however, the scar is virtually invisible as it is hidden by the shadow of the nose.
Restylane® - an injectable dermal filler designed to augment and add volume to the lips, as well as provide rejuvenation to the face. Results from Restylane® generally last several months, making it an excellent option for patients wishing to see the effects of fuller lips on the face before pursuing more permanent lip enhancement procedures.
Fat injections – composed of fat taken from the patient's own body and injected into the lips to provide a fuller, more attractive appearance. A single injection is typically all that is necessary, and provides long-lasting results.

Neck Lift
Weight loss, genetics, and age are often the causes of a less-than-ideal neckline. A neck lift from our plastic surgeon can address the common problem of loose, drooping skin that forms around the neck. Dr. Jason Leedy can restore tone and firmness to the area, providing a more aesthetically pleasing contour.
During a neck lift procedure, incisions are made behind the ears to allow Dr. Leedy to reposition the skin and reduce flaccidity. Dr. Leedy removes the excess skin, and tightens the remaining skin. He can also address bands around the neck by correcting weakened muscles. This aspect of neck lift is performed by making a small, nearly invisible incision under the chin. In cases of large neck areas with extra fat underneath the skin, Dr. Leedy may use liposuction to provide an even more defined contour.
Patients can typically resume light activities about two weeks after neck lift surgery.
A neck lift can often benefit patients who have undergone a face lift as well, serving as an excellent compliment to a fully rejuvenated face.
Chin Enhancement
Dr. Jason Leedy can create a more attractive facial profile by altering the appearance of the chin with chin implants, or a procedure called osseous genioplasty. A small chin can make other facial features appear larger than they really are, as well as cause the skin on the neck hang lower than is normal. This creates a more rounded, less defined appearance to the lower face. Chin implants are suitable for most patients and provide moderate improvement in the contour of the chin. An incision made either underneath the chin or on the inside of the mouth allows Dr. Leedy to insert a custom-fitted implant, carefully placed over the bone. The result is a more prominent chin and a better overall aesthetic. Any residual scarring is practically invisible because of the discreet placement of the incisions.
For patients considering an even greater degree of chin advancement, or for those whose chin is asymmetric, osseous genioplasty is a procedure designed to resculpt the chin for a more balanced facial aesthetic. Dr. Leedy will reshape the bone of the lower chin and advance it to the desired position. The new position of the chin will be maintained with permanent plates and. Osseous genioplasty also improves neck contour, allowing for a much stronger and confident appearance.
Patients who undergo chin enhancement are generally able to return to work and light activities in about a week. More strenuous activities can be resumed after two to three weeks.

Ear Correction (Otoplasty)
Ear correction, medically known as otoplasty can help children with protruding, prominent ears and increase their self-esteem. Children with large ears that stick out from the head are often victims of teasing from their peers, which can cause a life time of low self-confidence. Ear correction can address this by reducing the size of large ears, positioning them closer to the head. Although the procedure can be safely performed on adults, otoplasty is generally performed on children ages six to fourteen. Ear surgery can also help elderly people who have enlarged lobules (the bottom portion of the ear) achieve a more youthful looking appearance to the ears. Adult patients can also combine their otoplasty procedure with rhinoplasty (nose surgery) face lift, or BOTOX® Cosmetic procedures to attain the most optimal aesthetic enhancement. Combining cosmetic procedures also reduces recovery time by having multiple procedures performed in tandem.
Otoplasty most often employs the placement of a small incision behind the ear. Dr. Jason Leedy will sculpt the ears and, in some cases, remove cartilage to achieve the desired shape. Ear surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis under general or local anesthesia. Patients will experience some swelling and discomfort in the ears following the procedure; however, most individuals are able to return to normal routines after a week. It is important to be extremely careful not to bend the ears for at least a month after otoplasty.
Microtia Reconstruction
For children born without an ear, or with a severely misshapen ear, Dr. Leedy offers an effective procedure called microtia reconstruction. Dr. Leedy is highly trained and skilled at this unique procedure, employing autogenous ear reconstruction to reconstruct an ear using a patient's own tissues. This technique reaches the pinnacle of plastic surgery procedures. The procedure begins with Dr. Leedy carving the shape of an ear from cartilage taken from the patient's rib. This cartilage is used to build the new ear. This type of ear reconstruction offers a greater advantage over silicone ear implants, which are prone to complications.
